Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent + one general laboratory course at a University or College. Must be able to sit for long periods of time and maintain focus.

About the Job

This position will assist the curator of the Chlamydomonas Resource Center this summer in maintaining cultures of the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
Daily duties will consist of transferring algae from old to new culture media, making growth media and slants, pouring Petri plates and other laboratory tasks.
Other tasks may include washing laboratory glassware, pouring plates, general laboratory maintenance and assistance with day-to-day tasks.
No experience is necessary and will fully train the new hire. Schedule is flexible.

This is a temporary position with anticipated 20-30hours per week.
