Service Advisor

The Service Adviser provides excellent customer service and is the primary point of contact for the customer in the repair process ensuring that the customers' vehicles are repaired accurately and expediently.

At our Ford/Isuzu dealership, our 2nd shift team works Monday through Thursday and enjoys three day weekends! (4-10 hr shifts and no weekends)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Puts customer first for each and every interaction on the phone or in person
  • Reflects Boyer's mission and vision statement in daily activities
  • Answers phones and greets customers in a professional manner assuring them that the repair will be expedited to the best of our ability
  • Opens repair orders after research to include vehicle inspection mileage, VIN number, etc.
  • Follows Boyer credit and payment terms prior to the start of the repair
  • Communicates with the customer giving a complete and comprehensive estimate of repairs needed and communicates the progress of the repairs and estimated time needed
  • Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the flow of service work through the service department in a profession and timely manner while ensuring quality repairs
  • Posts repair times and reviews them with the technician
  • Communicates any additional repair work discovered by the technician
  • Assists the service manager with various functions as required
  • Closes repair order at the time of completion
  • Ensures technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures
  • Relays all priorities and commitments to the next shift

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, equivalent or higher
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence is a must
  • Computer experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Pass required DOT physical
  • CDL preferred
