The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is made up of 11,722 acres of parkland and includes 276 park and recreation facilities. The City of Fort Worth, Operations Contract Management with the Park & Recreation Department is seeking a detailed-oriented professional to fill the position of Contract Compliance Technician.

The position is eligible for partial benefits and will work up to 25 hours a week.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Some evening/weekend on-call and event site visits may be required.

The job duties include: serves as support for the Operations Contract Management Division performing a variety of tasks related to contract compliance, park reservations, and customer service. This position will provide ongoing and backup support for park reservations including coverage of park reservations to assist customers in person, on the phone, and online; booking reservations in the park reservation system; processing payments and refunds in the form of cash, check, and credit cards; follow up on calls related to reservations and payment. This position will also monitor contractor/vendor event holder compliance with contract and reservation permit specifications; conduct site visits to audit compliance with permit requirements; provide information to local businesses and the general public on contract and City policies and procedures; assist with investigation and verification of complaints; complete supply inventories and prepare supply orders; conduct site inspections; review and track invoices and payments; develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports; utilize the internet and mapping tools to research various topics; and perform other duties as assigned.

Other duties include: researching and responding to a high volume of requests for information, compiling information and assisting in revenue projections, and establishing and maintaining filing systems for park reservations documents.

Excellent driving record and ability to operate a City vehicle. Skills in using smart phone for texting, email, and taking/sending photos is necessary. Legible handwriting skills, ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers, ability to follow written and oral instructions, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED and two years of directly related experience in in contracts, compliance, and customer service experience.

Valid Texas driver's license.

Preferences:
  • Preference given to the applicant with at least six months of park/facility reservations, special/public events planning/coordination, or hospitality industry experience.
  • Preference will be given to the applicant with at least six months of experience working in a heavy customer contact environment.
  • Preference will be given to the applicant with at least six months of experience working with permits or contract compliance.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel, preferred.
  • Experience working with Active Network scheduling software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with parks and recreation facilities preferred.
  • Knowledge in landscaping, knowledge of city parks, navigation skills/knowledge in map reading, MAPSCO, Google Earth/Maps, and GPS.
